Shah Rukh Khan fans eagerly await his upcoming film Jawan, a Hindi-language action thriller written and directed by Atlee. The film features Khan in a dual role, along with Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra in pivotal roles. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
According to sources, the makers of Jawan plan to kick start the promotions from the first week of May with a teaser, followed by a trailer. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on 2 June 2023. Jawan also boasts of some special appearances by Bollywood and Tamil stars.
Rumor has it that Deepika Padukone will be seen in a cameo as Sanjay Dutt's sister, while Vijay will also play a pivotal cameo who aids Khan in a mission. Sanjay Dutt will also join the cast for an action-packed cameo as a villain, who pulled crowd with his performance in KGF 2.
The film has been shot across various locations in India, including Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Aurangabad. Some of the action sequences between Khan and Sethupathi are said to be the highlights of the film. Jawan marks Atlee’s debut in Hindi cinema and his fourth collaboration with Vijay after Theri, Mersal, and Bigil. It also marks Nayanthara’s debut in Bollywood and her third film with Atlee after Raja Rani and Bigil.
Jawan is produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment and is expected to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 2023, as the comeback film of Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan emerged as a worldwide big smashing hit flick.
