Thalaivar 170: Rajinikanth to star in a bi-lingual film before Lokesh Kanagaraj's film! Here's what you need to know

Fans had a stunning revelation that left in awe, regarding Superstar Rajinikanth's one of the lineup films. The latest buzz is that he has signed up for a bi-lingual film with director Bobby that will be made in both Tamil and Telugu languages. The film, which is likely to be his Thalaivar 170, which will start rolling next year after Rajinikanth finishes his shooting for Nelson Dilipkumar's Jailer.

The filmmaker is known for his directorial Chiranjeevi's Walter Veeraiya, which was a massive hit in Tollywood twn. According to a source close to the project, Bobby wrote a script to showcase Rajinikanth in a vintage and massy avatar. The source said, "The director is a specialist in making mass entertainers and he has penned a script that will present Rajinikanth in a way that his fans love to see him. The film will have all the elements that make a Rajinikanth film a blockbuster." 

The source also revealed that the film will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers, who have previously bankrolled films like Rangasthalam and Uppena. The cast and crew of the film are yet to be finalized. Dil Raju of Varisu fame, is said to bankroll this feature, and the director through this flick makes his first Kollywood debut.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is also gearing up for his collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is known for his critically acclaimed films like Kaithi and Master.  The film, which is reportedly titled Thalaivar 171, will be an action thriller with a political backdrop. The film is expected to go on floors after Rajinikanth completes his film with Bobby. Rajinikanth's fans are eagerly waiting for both these films as they are expected to showcase different facets of the superstar's acting prowess. 

Rajinikanth was last seen in Annatthe in 2021 directed by Siruthai Siva, produced by Sun Pictures which fallen for neutral reviews from critics. The veteran actor also has a fresh venture with TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim, which will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions, as they officially announced recently.
