The upcoming film of superstar Rajinikanth, tentatively titled Thalaivar 170, is creating a lot of buzz in the industry. The film, which will be directed by TJ Gnanavel, who recently helmed the critically acclaimed Jai Bhim, is said to have a stellar star cast from different film industries.
According to reports, the film will feature Amitabh Bachchan, Nani in pivotal roles. Now recent sources added that Fahadh Faasil, and Manju Warrier will also portray in pivotal roles alongside Rajinikanth. Thalaivar 170 will mark the reunion of Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan after 32 years.
The two megastars have previously worked together in films like Hum, Andhaa Kaanoon and Geraftaar. It will also be the first time that Rajinikanth will share screen space with Nani, Fahadh Faasil and Manju Warrier, who are all acclaimed actors in their respective industries.
Fahadh Faasil is already making waves with Mamannan, now the Malayalam actor is to perform along with the Superstar as per the latest rumours from the tinsel town. Manju Warrier is a Malayalam actress who has won several awards for her roles in films like Aami, Odiyan and Asuran. However, these reports are to be confirmed by the makers yet.
Thalaivar 170 is reportedly based on a true incident and Rajinikanth will play a cop in the film. The film is produced by Lyca Productions and the music is composed by Anirudh Ravichandran. The film is expected to go on floors soon and will be released in theatres at the end of 2024.
The film’s title is derived from the fact that it will be Rajinikanth’s 170th film. The fans are eagerly waiting for the official announcement of the film and its cast and crew. Actor Mohanlal will also have an extended cameo in the film. The trailer of the film was recently released and received a positive response from the audience. The film will showcase Rajinikanth’s nostalgic avatar and action skills as he plays Muthuvel Pandian, a jailer who fights against corruption and injustice.
