While there were several speculations made around Thalapathy 67, Lokesh Kanagaraj has confirmed that he will be helming Vijay's next project. Speaking at an award ceremony in Chennai after accepting an award, Lokesh has admitted that he is doing to join hands with Vijay for the second time.
Lokesh Kanagaraj has directed Vijay in the blockbuster movie 'Master', which had given a promising respite for the theatres that suffered a financial catastrophe owing to the Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdown. Following Master, Vijay has acted in Nelson Dilipkumar's directorial 'Beast' and after Thalapathy 66, the actor will be playing his second innings with Lokesh for Thalapathy 67.

Lokesh, who is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming movie 'Vikram', has further said that an official announcement about directing Vijay will be made after the release of Vikram on June 3.
