Thalapathy68 Buzz: This actor to join with Thalapathy Vijay after 21 years!

‘Thalapathy 68’ is expected to be a grand reception from the fans as the combo is a surprise and fresh headliner in the town in the long run of both legends. According to sources, Vijay has become the highest-paid actor in India by charging a whopping Rs 200 crore for the film. The film is likely to go on floors after Vijay wraps up his current project ‘Leo’, which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and co-stars Sanjay Dutt and Trisha.

According to sources, the duo of Vijay and Jai, who rocked the screen in ‘Bhagavathi’ back in 2002, are joining hands once again for the much-awaited ‘Thalapathy 68’. The film, which will be helmed by the master of entertainment Venkat Prabhu and bankrolled by the prestigious AGS Entertainment, will have the musical magic of Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The official announcement of ‘Thalapathy 68’ was made by AGS Entertainment on their Twitter handle on May. They wrote, “We are delighted to announce our next mega project with Thalapathy @actorvijay, directed by @vp_offl and music by @thisisysr. #Thalapathy68 #AGS #Vijay #VenkatPrabhu #YuvanShankarRaja.”

Fans of Vijay and Jai are eagerly waiting for the release of ‘Thalapathy 68’, which is expected to hit the screens in 2024. The film will mark the first collaboration of Vijay and Venkat Prabhu, where the director known for the superhit ‘Mankatha’, Chennai 68, Maanadu. 

The film will also mark the reunion of Vijay and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja after 20 years. They had previously worked together in Puthiya Geethai in 2003. Yuvan is a frequent collaborator of Venkat Prabhu and has scored music for all his films.

The director lastly helmed Custody, the bilingual featured Naga Chaitanya where Vijay is currently busy with his 67th film, Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film has an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Anand, Mysskin and Trisha Krishnan. The film is expected to hit the screens by October this year.
