The fans are in for a treat as the latest buzz in town about the Vijay's next Thalapathy 68, is that the star actor will be playing a dual role in his upcoming movie. The music for the movie is being composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has also worked with Vijay’s previous film Puthiya Geethai.

According to TOI sources, Vijay will be seen as a father and son, with one being a RAW agent and the other an antagonist. The movie is said to be a spy thriller with high-octane action sequences and emotional drama. The reports from the insiders also claims that the movie will also feature a stellar star cast, including Jyothika and Priyanka Mohan as the female leads opposite the father and son Vijay’s respectively.

Jyothika, who made a comeback to Tamil cinema with 36 Vayadhinile in 2015, will be sharing screen space with Vijay for the third time after Kushi, and Thirumalai. Priyanka Mohan, who made her debut with  Doctor with Sivakarthikeyan, will also play the actor's opposite.

The movie will also have Jai and Aparna Das in crucial roles, while R. Madhavan and Prabhu Deva will be playing the supporting roles. R. Madhavan, who was last seen in Rocketry, will be collaborating with Vijay for the first time. Prabhu Deva, who is known for his dancing and directing skills, will be returning to acting after a gap of four years. 

The movie is being directed by Venkat Prabhu, who is making his first collaboration with Vijay. The music for the movie is being composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has also worked with Vijay’s previous film Puthiya Geethai. 

The movie is being produced by AGS Entertainment and is expected to start in November this year after Leo release.  The fans are eagerly waiting for the official announcement of the title and the first look poster of the movie. Thalapathy68 is one of the most anticipated movies of 2023 and promises to be a thrilling ride for the audience.
