Thangalaan Buzz: Makers of Pa. Ranjith - Vikram's period film to postpone its release! Here's what we know

Thangalaan, the much-awaited magnum opus of Pa. Ranjith, has been postponed to March 2024, according to reliable sources. The epic drama, which was slated to release on Republic Day, has been pushed back due to some technical reasons and to avoid a clash with other big releases.

Thangalaan, as per the teaser released earlier promises a masterpiece that takes the viewers on a journey to the past, where they witness the struggles and triumphs of the miners who worked in the legendary Kolar Gold Fields. Based on real-life incidents, the film portrays the rich history and culture of the region, as well as the exploitation and oppression faced by the workers.

The film boasts of a star-studded cast, led by the versatile Vikram, who plays the role of a rebellious leader who fights for the rights of his people. He is joined by the talented Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, and Harikrishnan Anbudurai, who bring their characters to life with their brilliant performances.

The film also features a mesmerizing soundtrack by G V Prakash Kumar, who has composed some soulful and catchy tunes for the film. Thangalaan is a film that transcends the boundaries of language and genre, as it is set to release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
