'Thank you for the efforts to promote Tamil language' - Rajinikanth lauds Center!

Superstardom actor and political hopeful Rajinikanth has, on Wednesday, addressed to the Union Human Resource Development Minister and commended the efforts to promote Tamil language. 

According to the reports, the actor had written a letter to the minister dated June 3rd in which he has thanked the efforts and commitment of Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on promoting the Tamil language and the actor has also thanked the minister for appointing R Chandrasekaran as the first director of Central Institute of Classical Tamil in Chennai.

The Union Minister has, on Thursday, posted the actor's letter in his official Twitter handle and stated that the Central government has been committed to promoting all the languages of India under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he further assured that the Human Resource Development Ministry is working diligently to strengthen the Tamil language. 

 

The minister has also iterated the message in Tamil. The actor's letter has come days after the Center has appointed Dr. R Chandrasekaran (47) as the first permanent director of the Central Institute of Classical Tamil in Chennai and the institute was launched in 2008. Chandrasekaran has earlier served as the assistant professor of Tamil in Government Arts and Science college in Mullipuram, Kangeyam, Tamil Nadu.

Upon the appointment, Ramesh Nishank said that the appointment of Chandrasekaran has shown the Center's commitment to promoting the Tamil language. The Union Minister has tagged Prime Minister, Home Minister, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, and Actor Rajinikanth while he posted the appointment through his Twitter handle. The minister has also thanked Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami for the appointment process.

Chandrasekaran will be holding the post of director for three years during which he said he would expedite the activities of the Central Institute of Classical Tamil and stated that Tamil Chairs should be established in all leading universities across and beyond the country.
