'There are many teachers like me': PSBB Rajagopalan's shocking confession to Chennai police!

The prestigious Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan (PSBB) School in Chennai has been drawing outrageous attention on an unprecedented scale in its history after a teacher's sexual harassment has come to light two days back. The management of the PSBB, which is one of the prominent schools in the city and state, has been surfaced with massive flak for failing to pay heed to the students' complaints to take action against the teacher for his awful behaviour.

Amid the outrage, the Chennai police have on Monday arrested the accused teacher Rajagopalan and remanded him under judicial custody. The Ashok Nagar police department had filed a case against the teacher under the POCSO Act. He was produced before the Justice of Chennai Mahila Court and lodged in Central Prison in Puzhal, Chennai for 15 days under judicial custody for further investigation.

During the initial investigation and questioning, the Chennai police have found that Rajagopalan has deleted all his WhatsApp chats and pictures he shared with the school students. He had admitted that all the allegations made against him were true and he has also shockingly confessed to the Chennai police that he is not alone in the crime and there are other teachers like him, which stunned the law enforcement agency.

According to reports, the police have recorded his confessions and the officials will be initiating actions of unmasking the teachers of the PSBB school who were involved in sexually harassing the girl students. The incident of sexual harassment has come to light two days ago when several former and current students had petitioned the school management about pervert acts from Rajagopalan and some of the students had shared the allegations on social media.

As the allegations had heavily damaged the school's reputation, the school management had suspended Rajagopalan. He had been working in the school for two decades and was teaching accounts and business studies. He had been harassing the girl students, body shaming them, and sending links to porn sites. They allege that the school management has failed to take action against the accused teacher.

A former student of the PSBB School had taken on social media and shared how Rajagopalan had behaved with them. She told that apart from attending online classes half-naked with only a towel wrapped around his body, he also had sent obscene WhatsApp messages and made remarks about the girl students' photos. Speaking to a news agency, a former student has said, "Rajagopalan has also made comments about their physical appearance and asked one student to go out to the movies with him."

She wrote on social media, "Many of my batchmates and juniors have been harassed by Rajagopalan. It got out of hand when he recently asked one of my friends whether she wanted to go to a movie with him and sent a link to pornographic content in a class group. Even though I complained to the dean, no action was taken. So, a group of us has decided to seek legal action." Her comments had powered the allegations and sparked more flak towards the school.

One of the affected students said that Rajagopalan even used to threaten each of his students not to disclose his personnel comments to their parents or friends. She said, "He would threaten to reduce our marks in exams if any of the student lodges complain against him." She further confirmed that he reportedly attends online classes wearing shorts. The students allege that the accused teacher had sent his photo to some students and forced them to sent their pictures, which he would later put out a comment.

Most of the students say that they had complained to the school management about Rajagopalan's inappropriate behaviour, but the management has failed to take action against the accused teacher. However, the Dean has claimed that the sexual allegations against the teacher have not been brought to the attention of the management in the past. As Rajagopalan has shockingly confessed that there are many teachers like him, the social media users are appealing to the affected students to come forward to file a complaint against the teachers who harassed them.
