'Those who met me, please get tested for COVID-19': Shocking call from the top Bollywood star!

In a shocking development, top Bollywood star Aamir Khan has on Wednesday tested positive for the COVID-19 viral infection and asked the people who had come in close contact with him to get tested for the pandemic. The Bollywood star has confirmed to have contracted the viral infection at a high time when India has been bracing for the second wave of the pandemic. 

The actor's spokesperson said that 56-year-old Aamir Khan has been observing home quarantine. In a statement, the actor's spokesperson said, "Mr. Aamir Khan has tested positive for COVID-19. He is at home in self-quarantine, following all the protocols and he's going fine. All those who came in contact with him in the recent past should get themselves tested as a precautionary measure. Thank you for all your wishes and concern". 

Recently, Aamir Khan had celebrated his birthday, and amid the birthday celebrations, he had announced that he has decided to leave social media and asserted that all the updates about his future projects will now be available on his production banner's official account. According to PTI, Khan opened up about why he quitted social media. He said, "Do not put your theories about that. I live in my own world and I am anyway not active on social media, I don't post anything". 

Earlier in a statement on his Twitter and Instagram before quitting them, he said, "Hey guys, thank you so much for all the love and warmth on my birthday. My heart is full. In other news, this is going to be my last post on social media. Considering that I am so active anyway, I have decided to drop the pretence". 

On the work front, Aamir Khan will be next seen on-screen with Kareena Kapoor Khan in his upcoming movie 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. Directed by Advait Chandan, the movie is a Hindi Adaptation of Tom Hanks 'Forrest Gump'. The movie is scheduled to hit the big screens during Christmas this year.
