Three technicians died at the 'Indian 2' sets: Here's what Kamal had to say!

In a shocking incident, the sets that were installed for the shooting of 'Indian 2' movie had claimed the lives of three technicians working for the movie while about nine others have been injured after a crane that was used for the movie shoot lost its control and crashed on them on Wednesday night.

The reports say that sets for the ongoing movie shooting were set up near Poonamallee in the outskirts of Chennai during which the crane collapsed and stumbled on the technicians. The three deceased were identified as Madhu -the production assistant, Chandran - the art assistant, and Krishna - the assistant director who was working under Director Shankar in the movie. The Injured technicians were rushed to a private hospital near Poonamallee where they have been receiving treatment.

The reports have stated that the incident occurred around 10 pm on Wednesday and the Nazarathpet police department had filed an FIR at 1.30 am. However, no arrests have been done so far. Actor and Politician Kamal Haasan, who plays a lead role in the movie, took his Twitter to express his condolences. 

On Thursday morning, the Actor said that "Though I have come through many accidents, what happened today was cruel. I'm standing after losing three men. The pain endured by the family of the deceased would be much more than what I'm feeling. I'm taking part in their grief as one among them. My deepest condolences to them".

At around 1.20 am, Kamal Haasan tweeted that " I've met the injured people in the hospital and spoken to the treating doctors. The injured have been given with first aid medical care and further treatments have been carrying out. Let this night go through with the hope that they would have a speedy recovery.

 

The production house of the movie, Lyca Productions had tweeted about the accident and listed out the names of the deceased. In its tweet, it has stated that "No words could ease what we truly feel. We are extremely saddened with the unfortunate accident that happened at the sets of Indian-2 yesterday (19th Feb 2020). We have lost 3 of our most hardworking technicians. Our deepest condolences to their family members. May their souls rest in peace".
