TN BJP chief Annamalai's 'DMK Files': Here's how senior DMK leaders hit back at him!

Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai has sparked a fresh political debate in the state over his drive of releasing the corruptions committed by DMK. His target at the Dravidian major over the assets values of the leaders and alleged corruptions has come when Annamalai has caught up with serious troubles from his involvement in the Aarudhra Gold scam case to his controversial leadership tenure.

Annamalai has held a press conference on Friday - April 14 in Chennai during which he unveiled the first part of 'DMK Files' in which he displayed the assets value of senior leaders, their investments, and the luxurious vehicles possessed by Chief Minister MK Stalin's family. Annamalai cited that he will release more such episodes to expose DMK's corruption in coming days.

He also had broken his silence on his purcharse of 'Rafale' edition luxury watch made by Bell & Ross. He had shown the invoice of the purchase months after he caught into controversy over the source of his income to avail a luxury watch. He said that he bought the watch for Rs 3 lakhs from his friend Cheralathan Ramakrishnan in May 2021.

He claimed that Ramakrishnan bought the watch in March 2021 from a watch company in Coimbatore. Though Annamalai displayed the invoice in the press conference, that particular invoice had put him under further trouble as they carry two different serial numbers for the same product. Such discrepancies have triggered backfire and social media trolls against Annamalai.

Responding to Annamalai's allegations, several senior DMK leaders have staunchly attacked the Tamil Nadu BJP chief. Addressing the reporters, DMK's organising secretary RS Bharathi said that Annamalai has levelled frivolous charges against the DMK leaders to divert public attention from allegations against him that he received Rs 84 crore in the Aarudhra scam.

Tamil Nadu Minister and DMK's General Secretary Durai Murugan said, "I have not seen it, I don't know about it. This is a political stunt and he (Annamalai) is doing this for politics." DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi said that Annamalai had levelled allegations against DMK because he is trying to save his political career.
