TN BJP is filled with more Kollywood celebrities: Is Vadivelu the next to join the party?

The Tamil Nadu BJP unit has been getting filled with the celebrities of the Tamil Cinema industry including the veteran actors and artists and as the state assembly poll nears, the Central ruling party has been mulling to web more such celebrities and make them as the star campaigners to take the party to the reach of voters ahead of the elections. 

While veteran actress Khushbu Sundar was the recent one to join the BJP after she quitted from the Congress party, reputed comedian Vadivelu has now been surfaced with the speculations that he will be the next celebrity to join the BJP as the party has sketched the new agenda to make better use of the veteran celebrities as the party's mouthpiece in the upcoming state legislative polls to cover up the wider populace amid the tough race from the Dravidian parties. 

The speculations that Vadivelu would be joining the BJP have come days after actor Vijay's father SA Chandrasekar was swirled with such speculations that he would be joining the BJP. As the party's agenda is the main reason for the drive of pulling in the celebrities, the speculations are going limitless across the social media platforms with drawing major attention as the parties are getting prepared for the legislative polls. According to reports, the BJP state leadership has strongly been eyeing to have a major breakthrough by getting Vadivelu towards the party. 

The reports close to the developments say that Tamil Nadu BJP President L Murugan has completed 60 to 70% of the operation in bringing Vadivelu to the party. While the BJP has been long expecting the support of Rajinikanth, its drive of getting more celebrities to the party would give hope to the leaders ahead of the elections. However, Vadivelu is yet to announce his political stint with the BJP and the reports stated that the much-celebrated comedian has been discussing the prospects. 

Though the comedian hasn't appeared in more films in recent times, he has been dominating the social media platforms through memes and trolls, which had in a larger way helped the comedian to stay in the households. A senior party leader has said that the state unit has been waiting to hear the news that Vadivelu would join the BJP. By citing that the comedian's joining is yet to get a full shape, the leader said that the state will see more celebrities and professionals join the BJP before the assembly polls. 

Politics is not new for Vadivelu as the comedian has already campaigned for the DMK in the 2011 legislative elections against DMDK Chief Vijayakanth and his party. However, DMK had lost that election, and the actor had trailed in Kollywood due to his political entry and the emergence of young comedians. Vadivelu has now drawn a political spotlight nearly after a decade after speculated that he would join the BJP. 

The Tamil Nadu BJP unit has been sheltering many Kollywood celebrities like veteran actors Radha Ravi, Gautami, Namitha, Kasthuri, Vijayakumar, Gayathri Raghuram, S.V. Sekar, Power star Srinivasan, musician Gangai Amaran, actor Suresh have joined the BJP with Khushbu recently joining the party to add the list of star campaigners. Having been filled up with more celebrities, the question has arisen that Vadivelu will become a new one on the list. However, the comedian is yet to unfold his statement concerning the speculations on his second political stint.
