A TN woman was horrifically gang-raped- Here are the awful developments!

Despite the stringent laws, stern actions, and extensive awareness, the drastic rise in the violence committed against women has been showing that no lessons were learned and the horrific gangrape of a Tamil Nadu woman holds the evidence of the prevailing awful and insecure grounds for women.

On Saturday night, a 24-year-old woman was reportedly gang-raped by the group of three men at a public park in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. The reports say the assailants had threatened her at the knifepoint following which they harassed and assaulted her. She was accompanied by a 20-year-old male friend, who was beaten up by the group of miscreants from the spot. The Vellore police department had stated that the woman and her friend went to the part around 9.15 pm on Saturday after the park was closed.

The reports have revealed that the park has been surrounded by short fences that won't barricade the people visiting its premises after the closing time and it's common that the people would cross the fences and enter the park even the gates are closed. Likewise, the duo entered the park and around 9.30 pm, the group of three men spotted the woman and her friend and they started threatening them. The police have said that the assailants used a knife and forced her friend to leave the place after which they allegedly gang-raped her and the men reportedly abducted her jewelry and mobile phone before fleeing from the park.

It has been reported that the North Vellore police station had rushed to the hospital and recorded the statement of the victim. The police had filed a case under the grounds of theft, gang-rape, and assault and the police had arrested two suspects with the possible connection behind the brutal crime. Ada Mani alias Manikandan who is 45-years-old and Kozhi alias Sakthinathan who is 19-years-old were the two who have been arrested by the police.
