On Wednesday, Google India published 'Year in Search 2022' results. Despite the fact that Bollywood and Kannada hits occupy the top two spots on the list, one Kollywood blockbuster was able to sneak in and claim a spot. Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji, comes in first, while Thor: Love and Thunder are back in the bottom ten.
After Brahmastra, the next highest-grossing film was Yash's KGF: Chapter 2, and in third place was Anupam Kher's The Kashmir Files. SS Rajamouli's RRR, who is the global showrunner, comes in at number four, while Rishab Shetty's Kantara, which came out in the last quarter of this year, is the fifth best-performing film of the year. Sukumar's Pushpa: The Rise, and Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram starring Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan, both landed in sixth and 7th place respectively.
Taking eighth, ninth, and tenth place, respectively, are Advait Chandan's Laal Singh Chaddha and Mohanlal's Drishyam 2, as well as Thor: Love and Thunder. Following two years of no theatrical releases and a period of lockdown, 2022 was an exciting year for filmgoers, and these films ruled the talks on the Internet.
