Tourists have been barred in Mamallapuram!

In the view of enhancing and tightening the security grid in Mamallapuram ahead of hosting second informal meet between Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping, the authorities had barred the tourists and tourism in the coastal town till October 13th, 2019.

Tamil Nadu's coastal town of Mamallapuram adds privilege to its historical grounds as the town prepares to welcome and to host the Chinese leader along with Indian Prime minister between October 11th to 13th to flag second such informal meeting between both the leaders with the view of discussing the entire gamut of the bilateral ties towards upgrading the existing relations.

Since the conformity of the date and the venue has been announced, the state government of Tamil Nadu has been enhancing the grounds of security and surveillance along with the Central government during the visit of Chinese and Indian delegations to ensure with no account of security lag has been reported.

The coastal town has been sieved by the security forces from both the countries and it has been reported that the state government would deploy thousands of police to tight the security grip and the top police officials and the state government authorities have been touring the town and issuing orders on maintaining and renovating the infrastructure that will showcase the history of the town.

The reports say that the authorities had issued directives to the tourists to vacate their tourism camp from the town and further instructed the hotels in the town not to accommodate any new foreign and suspicious faces with the speculations that the suspicious accommodation would cost major discrepancies in the security. Last week, the state Chief minister Edappadi Palaniswami had rounded the town to review the security arrangements to host the Chinese leader and the visiting delegation that has been estimated up to nearly 300 people. CCTV cameras have been placed to equip the surveillance.

The first such informal summit between the leaders was hosted by Chinese President in Wuhan province of China where Prime minister Modi had tabled the discussions on flagging the relations to next level where India had accepted to host the second informal summit for which the Indian authorities had looked for the possible and historical cities in the country like Varanasi before finalizing the venue as Mamallapuram.
