Now that Ajith's Thunivu is getting ready for its massive release during Pongal 2023, all eyes are on Vignesh Shivan's film with the ultimate star. The movie, which had the working title AK 62 at one point, had its launch in May of the previous year. However, filming is expected to begin after Pongal, on January 17th, 2023.
While there were rumours circulating that Trisha Krishnan had joined Ajith in filming this project, there is no official confirmation of this. Nevertheless, information from a reliable source close to the team indicates that the "news is fake." They both worked earlier in Ji, Kireedam, and Mangatha.
Now, an interesting update gained from a different source suggests that the comedian Santhanam and the actor Arvind Swami have joined the cast of this venture. Santhanam and Ajith were previously worked in Veeram, and this will be second colloboration for Arvind Swami in working with Ajith. They had worked together for Paasamalargal in 1994.
The director's wife, the female superstar Nayanthara, is rumoured to be a potential lead actress. Both of them have previously worked in Billa, Aegan, Aarambam, and Viswasam. The production company had discussions with Dhanush about casting him in a negative role. If the rumour turns out to be true, this will be one of Kollywood's most stupendous film to date.
Lyca Productions will be in charge of producing AK 62, and Anirudh will be responsible for composing the score. It is anticipated that the official announcement of the project, including its title, cast, and crew, will take place after the release of H.Vinoth's Thunivu, which is scheduled for the 11th of January, 2023. Fans are extremely excited for Ajith's 62nd film because Ajith is perceived as a mass hero, and Vignesh Shivan is well-known for his films that are softcore plot aimed at younger audiences.
