The wait is over for the fans as the first single from his upcoming film Jailer is set to release on July 6. The song, titled Kaavaalaa, will feature Rajinikanth and Tamannaah Bhatia in a peppy dance number composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

The makers of the film, Sun Pictures, announced the news on Twitter by sharing a quirky promo video featuring the composer and the director Nelson Dilipkumar in their signature style. Jailer is an action comedy film written and directed by Nelson and produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures.

It stars Rajinikanth in the lead role of Muthuvel Pandian, a strict jailer who has to deal with a gang of prisoners trying to escape. The film also features Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Mirnaa Menon and Vasanth Ravi in supporting roles.

It marks the Tamil cinema debut of Shiva Rajkumar and Sunil, and the return of Ramya Krishnan and Tamannaah to Tamil cinema after a gap of four years. The film also has a cameo appearance by Mohanlal.

Jailer is one of the most anticipated films of 2023 as it marks the first collaboration of Rajinikanth with Nelson, who is known for his quirky and entertaining films like Kolamavu Kokila (2018) and Doctor (2021). The film’s teaser poster was released on June 17, 2022, and received a positive response from the fans and critics alike.

The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who has previously worked with Rajinikanth in Petta (2019) and Darbar (2020). The film’s cinematography is handled by Vijay Karthik Kannan and editing by R. Nirmal. Jailer is scheduled to release on August 10, 2023, coinciding with the Independence Day weekend.

The film is expected to be a treat for the mass audience as it promises to showcase Rajinikanth in his trademark style and charisma. The film’s first single Kaavaalaa will give a glimpse of the fun and energy that the film has to offer. Fans are eagerly waiting to see Rajinikanth and Tamannaah groove to Anirudh’s tunes on July 6.
