Anudeep KV, who primarily directed movies in Tollywood, is crafting his Tamil film debut through the movie 'Prince' in which he has directed Sivakarthikeyan. The upcoming bilingual film is eagerly awaited by Sivakarthikeyan fans for many reasons - it marks his first foray into Telugu town with a Telugu maker, his first collaboration with music composer Thaman, and pairing with a non-native female lead for the first time.

The trailer of the movie was released on Sunday and it has promised a fun-filing family entertainer. In the movie, Sivakarthikeyan plays the role of a school teacher 'Anbu' and the two-and-a-half-minute trailer exemplifies the actor's laugh-riot style. While Ukrainian model Maria Riaboshapka plays the female lead, Sathyaraj plays the role of a father.

The trailer also hints at patriotism and the strive for love among both linguistic territories while sprinkling social messages here and there. Premgi Amaren surprisingly has a significant role in the film. The trailer is already at the peak of social media trend and it is nearing to cross 5 million views within a day. Sivakarthikeyan shared the trailer on Twitter and actor Simbu wrote, "Loved the trailer! Best wishes to our Prince Sivakarthikeyan & the whole team."

Replying to Simbu's tweet, Sivakarthikeyan wrote, "Thank you so much sir. We are happy that you liked the trailer." Tollywood star Vijay Deverakonda launched the trailer in Telugu and wrote, "Big admirer and fan of @Siva_Kartikeyan Anna's journey and work, wishing him, @anudeepfilm and the team of #Prince all the very best for the Grand Diwali release on Oct 21st! Very happy to launch #PrinceTrailer in Telugu."

Prince has been slated for a theatrical release on October 21, three days ahead of Diwali and it will clash with Karthi's 'Sardar' which is helmed by PS Mithran. Prince is bankrolled by D Suresh Babu Narayan Das K Narang, and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao through Suresh Productions Pvt, Sree Venkateshwara Cinemas LLP, and Shanthi Talkies. The cinematography is done by Manoj Paramahamsa, while Praveen KL has served as the editor.
