Popular Tamil filmmaker Atlee is on a significant leap in his career by making his directorial debut in Bollywood. He joined hands for the first time with Shah Rukh Khan for the movie 'Jawan', which is gazing up expectations ever since the movie announcement and the first look posters were released. The movie is getting filmed at a steady pace and shooting goes on to the next schedule, that's happening in Chennai.
Jawan has brought big Bollywood stars to the southern city and the pictures of their arrival have caught into the wave of virality. Besides, Shah Rukh Khan, Jawan has also roped in Deepika Padukone. While Deepika's cameo role was previously just a matter of conjecture, it appears that the pair is currently preparing to film the movie's special sequence.
Atlee, Shah Rukh Khan, and Deepika Padukone arrived in Chennai on Sunday. It has been touted that Shah Rukh Khan plays a dual role in this intriguing thriller movie and Deepika Padukone would be featuring as the wife of senior Shah Rukh Khan. Earlier, talking about Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan said, "Jawan is a universal story that goes beyond languages, geographies and is for all to enjoy."
"Credit goes to Atlee for creating this unique film, which has also been a fantastic experience for me as I love action films! The teaser is the just tip of the iceberg and gives a glimpse into what's to come", Shah Rukh Khan added. In Jawan's teaser, Shah Rukh Khan's face was bandaged and covered in bruises. Earlier, while releasing the teaser, the actor wrote, "An action-packed 2023!! Bringing Jawan to you, an explosive entertainer in cinemas 2nd June 2023."
Jawan will be released in five languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The movie is produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and the music is composed by Anirudh. Besides Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover will be playing important roles. Interestingly, lady superstar, Nayanthara will be playing the female lead in Jawan.
