The much-awaited audio launch of Maamannan, the upcoming political thriller by Mari Selvaraj, is all set to take place on June 1st at Nehru Stadium, Chennai. The event will also feature a live concert by none other than the music maestro AR Rahman, who has composed the songs for the film.

Taking to Twitter, director Mari Selvaraj shared the awaiting update, writing, " "We've got them coming to you! Get ready for a musical evening headed your way on the 1st of June at Nehru Stadium for Maamannan's Audio Launch! " Maamannan, which means Emperor in Tamil, marks the final film of actor-turned-politician Udhayanidhi Stalin, who plays the role of Raasa Kaanu, a young leader who challenges the corrupt system.

The film also stars Fahadh Faasil as Perumal Swamy, a powerful politician and antagonist, Keerthy Suresh as Samba, Raasa’s love interest and Vadivelu as Maamannan, a mysterious character who guides Raasa in his journey.

The film is expected to have a June release and has already generated a lot of buzz among the fans and critics alike. The first look posters of the film, which were released on May 1st, showed Udhayanidhi and Vadivelu in striking poses with slogans like. . The first single ‘Raasa Kannu’, sung by Vadivelu himself, was released on May 19th and became an instant hit among the masses.

The director Mari Selvaraj, who has delivered critically acclaimed films like Pariyerum Perumal and Karnan, has said that Maamannan will be a big film in his career with an ensemble star cast and significant politics. He has also praised Vadivelu’s role as a surprise element and a legend in the film.

The Oscar-winning composer has collaborated with Mari Selvaraj for the first time and has reportedly delivered a refreshing and soulful album for the film. The fans are eagerly waiting to witness the magic of Rahman’s music on stage and to hear more about the film from the cast and crew.
