Trending update: Is Thalapathy Vijay going to get roped under Dhoni Productions?

After rocking the battlefield for decades, legendary cricketer MS Dhoni is ready for his next innings and this time, the icon has come up with an aspiration to rock the big screens through producing movies. Recently, 41-year-old former Indian cricketer has shown his keen interest to produce South Indian movies under his own production company 'Dhoni Entertainment'. 

Interestingly, he is looking to associate with the South Indian actors that the Bollywood and it has been reported that he is aiming to rope Thalapathy Vijay for his upcoming movie. The reports in the know have said MS Dhoni has also approached some of the leading south stars. Neither of the stars have officially divulged that they will join hands with Dhoni Entertainment and if it all comes to place, it's pretty obvious that Dhoni's debut as a producer will surely be eagerly awaited by the audience.

Mahesh Babu, who relishes enormous popularity in the south, has reportedly been notified by Dhoni about playing a part in a forthcoming film. The company intends to branch out into films in other Southern Indian languages besides Tamil. The company will also make movies in Telugu and Malyalam in addition to Tamil. Vijay's name has been linked to a potential project under the Dhoni Films banner and the trending update has gone viral. 

Other stardoms on Dhoni's radar include Kiccha Sudheepa and Prithviraj from the Kannada and Malayalam film industries respectively in addition to Thalapathy Vijay and Mahesh Babu. According to a report in a leading daily, the production house has been registered under Dhoni's wife Sakshi. Though sources close to Vijay have ruled out such a discussion, people in CSK circles say, "The movie will be produced under his banner Dhoni Entertainment Limited which is being run by his wife Sakshi Singh."

"The team is currently in search of setting up a proper office in the heart of Chennai as they will be listening to stories from various filmmakers. Apart from Tamil, the talks with stars in other industries are at an early stage", they added. With Dhoni's huge backing and Vijay's immense popularity in Tamil Nadu, it's no wonder that this could end up being a blockbuster in the making. 

Roar of the Lion, Blaze to Glory, and The Hidden Hindu are just a few of the small-budget films that the production company has already produced. The movie Roar of the Lion is about the Chennai Super Kings' return to the IPL following a two-year suspension. The third film, The Hidden Hindu, is based on the mythological thriller written by author Akshat Gupta and is a documentary on the historic World Cup victory of the Men in Blue in 2011.

Vijay is currently hooked to Vamsi Padipally's Varisu. His next Thalapathy67 is to be with Lokesh Kanagaraj, who directed Master, Kaithi and Vikram. Thalapathy 68 to be with Super Good Film's 100th movie, as per earlier reports. Hence the next, Thalapathy 69 or 70 would probably to be made under Dhoni's banner, which is yet to be officially announced.
