Vishnu Vishal was most recently seen in Gatta Kusthi, which won a commercial success. The actor is next to be work on Laal Salaam, which will mark his first collaboration with Superstar which features Rajinikanth in a momentary cameo. Now, the latest news came as a surprise, is that the actor will work with the director of Ratchasan for the third time, which which will feature the actor in never seen genre.

Director Ramkumar who known for Mundasupatti, a comedy drama and Ratchasan spine tingling thriller both were starred Vishnu Vishal in the lead and neatly made a critical success. Now the team joins again for third time and was confirmed officially from their side. Reports says that the film will be 21st film for the actor and it will be romantic fantasy film set in a hill station backdrop.

The shoot will commence in the summer 2023. The tentatively titled VV21 will be produced by Sathya Jyothi Films banner, which confirmed the collobotaion by taking us to Twitter and shared, "We are extremely happy to announce our next film with the blockbuster combo of the supremely talented @TheVishnuVishal & the Maverick director @dir_ramkumar for their HATTRICK union #VV21"

Speaking to popular media house, the director said, "The actor’s role will be quite similar to the character in Mundasupatti, and  the plot of the film revolves around the fact that how the protagonist handles problems in his life." The film's cast and crew have not been finalised as of yet. Until this, the most prominent role has gone to Munishkanth, who has appeared in Mundasupatti and Ratsasan as well.

Reportedly, Ramkumar after ‘Ratsasan’ planned a film with actor Dhanush and the movie was in pre-production for nearly two years  but he clarifies that that project is still on, and he will take it up once he finishes this film. He said that as its a big budget film, he decided to start this one. The director of VV21 has stated that their goal is to make Vishnu look "more chocolate boy-ish.".
