The year 2022 was the highlight of Trisha's career; after the success of the princess Kundhavai's triumphant face, she return to the silver screens for 'Raangi' which is directed by M. Saravanan of Engeyum Eppodhum renown. The film which Subaskaran produced under the Lyca Productions label and which Sun Pictures is distributing, opened in theatres today on December 30.

The story follows journalist Thaiyal Nayagi from Chennai who, by chance, establishes contact with a terrorist in Tunisia via a fictitious account. The next events are the most crucial aspect which covers the story. AR Murugadoss, a veteran of the film industry, wrote the script. A majority of reviewers and fans have given the film a positive rating, with many praising the actor's new action persona.

Raangi's cinematography is handled by K A Sakthivel and edited by M Subarak. C Sathya composed the film's music and background score. With choreography by Raja Sekar, the film features exciting action set pieces.
