Trump wishes Biden to get well soon as the President-elect suffers fractures in foot: What happened?

In a shocking development, US President-elect Joe Biden has suffered hairline fractures in his foot while he was playing with one of his dogs Major. Although he hasn't faced major ruptures, Joe Biden, who soon will become the 46th President of the United States, will be pushed to walk with a protective boot for several weeks.

According to the statement released from his office, the incident had happened on Saturday. He got slipped and twisted his ankle while playing with his dog. After suffering the injury, the President-elect was escorted to a medical check-up with an orthopedist at Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists in Newark, Delaware for the medical examination on Sunday.

Initially, Biden was put through for X-Ray and CT scan and following the reports, the doctors had thought that the President-elect had merely sprained his ankle. However, the doctors had decided to go for an additional scan to know the injury. According to Reuters, Biden's personal physician Kevin O' Connor said that the follow-up CT Scan has confirmed hairline (small) fractures and the President-elect will likely require a walking boot for several weeks.

In a statement, Kevin O' Connor said, "Initial x-rays did not show any obvious fracture, but his clinical exam warranted more detailed imaging and the follow-up CT scan confirmed hairline fractures in the lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the mid-foot". Joe Biden visited the specialist on Sunday afternoon around 4 pm eastern time and he was under medical examination for over two hours and left the orthopedic office around 6.45 pm eastern time.

The reporters were restricted to take visuals of the President-elect while he visited the specialists. However, the reports say that the 78-year-old Democrat was apparently limping when he was taken for a CT scan. He got fractured while he was playing with Major, which is one of the two dogs of the Biden family. Major is a German Shepherd breed and it will become the first rescue dog to live in the White House.

The Bidens had adopted Major from the Delaware Humane Society in 2018. According to reports, the president-elect and his wife Jill Biden are also planning to bring a cat with them in the White House along with dogs after Joe Biden assumes the presidency. With this fresh trouble of fracture, Biden is all set to oust Trump from the White House amid the fictitious claims from the latter.

Biden has defeated the incumbent in a landmark victory and the President-elect will be taking oath as the 46th President of the United States on January 20, 2021, after which the 78-year-old will become the oldest person ever to assume the office after he takes over the nation's highest office.

The reports say Biden has suffered the fracture at a crucial time when he was scheduled for the intelligence briefing and when he prepares to unveil the latest picks of his administration. President Trump, who is yet to concede the defeat in the polls, has taken to Twitter and wished Biden a speedy recovery. The incumbent took to Twitter and said, "Get well soon!".
