From twisting her plan to visiting Jayalalithaa's memorial: VK Sasikala begins her political game to takeover ADMK!

For the ADMK, VK Sasikala has come to steal the show ahead of the party's golden jubilee celebration. The expelled general secretary and close aide of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, Sasikala has been a woman of surprises and when she was expected to enter into active politics earlier this year following her release from incarceration, she twisted the tale and decided to stay off from politics when the assembly polls were approaching.

She didn't apparently respond to the ADMK's debacle in the assembly polls while the party was facing a leadership crisis, intra-party political tussle, and legal cases that were filed against several senior leaders. After the DMK came to power, the ADMK's base had further got eroded with the absence of a strong and prominent leader. While the Kodanad heist and murder case has been haunting ADMK's current leader Edappadi Palaniswami, several senior party leaders had invited raids in connection to the allegations of corruption.

VK Sasikala hadn't relinquished her dream of taking over the ADMK and she was watching these developments, waiting for a perfect time to support his game of taking over the ADMK. Finally, it seems that she has found a perfect time to come to the limelight through the party's golden jubilee anniversary. ADMK will be celebrating its 50th anniversary on October 17, 2021, and apart from two leaders - MGR and Jayalalithaa, the five-decade-old party didn't see the raise of any popular leaders and the party would be celebrating the anniversary at the time of turbulence as nothing seems to be permanent in the faction.

While the current leaders Edappadi Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam had announced that the party will celebrate the golden jubilee for a month, ADMK has nothing significant to lead the celebration. The party had faced major blows under the leadership of Edappadi Palaniswami during his term as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and as the joint coordinator of the party as he was surfaced with several allegations of tussles and corruption in his rule and in the party.

When the current ADMK leaders had planned to unveil the celebrations on Sunday, VK Sasikala ran ahead of them to use her allegiance to Jayalalithaa as her political bait. On Saturday - October 16, Sasikala had visited Jayalalithaa's memorial on the coast of Marina Beach, Chennai. Initially, she was planning to visit the memorial on October 17, but she had then twisted her plan and preponed her visit. According to our sources, Sasikala had decided to change her plan as Edappadi Palaniswami, Panneerselvam, and other ADMK leaders would visit Jayalalithaa's memorial on October 17 and her presence on the same day would cause a tussle between both the camps.

Moreover, the current leaders may gain more limelight in the media and to avoid such incidents and to have an unhindered opening, Sasikala has planned to visit Jayalalithaa's memorial on October 16. As per the plan, VK Sasikala had left in a car with the ADMK flag on Friday at 10.30 pm from her T Nagar residence to Jayalalithaa's memorial. She was offered a rousing welcome from her supporters with many of them had thrown flowers on her car. She was accompanied by some of his close leaders as the ADMK leaders were watching the developments unfolded by the expelled general secretary of the party.

She straightly drove to Jayalalithaa's memorial and it is the first time she visits Jayalalithaa's resting place in four years. The memorial was decorated and Sasikala was surrounded by hundreds of people as she paid floral tribute to the late leader. In what has been said that Sasikala had sought blessings from Jayalalithaa to enter politics and take over the party, she said she sees a bright future for ADMK. Sasikala was broke down in tears when she was at the memorial and the visuals from the spot were going viral.

After visiting the memorial, she said, "Today at Amma's memorial, I have unloaded all the burden I carried in my heart for the past five years. I am leaving the memorial with certainty that both Amma and MGR will save the party. I see a bright future for AIADMK, and the people of Tamil Nadu very well know the reason why I came here." She also had paid tribute to late leaders MGR and CN Annadurai. On the other hand, slamming Sasikala's memorial outreach, senior ADMK leader D Jayakumar said, "An Oscar award can be conferred to Sasikala for her performance, but never a place in the AIADMK."
