Union Minister is admitted to AIIMS due to post-COVID complications!

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has on Tuesday admitted to AIIMS, Delhi due to post-Covid complications. His hospitalization has come a month after he had tested positive for the COVID-19 viral infection. 

The 61-year-old minister is admitted to the hospital at a high time when the Central government inches closer to announce its final decision over conducting the Class 12 board and CBSE exams. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be meeting the authorities to discuss and decide about conducting the exams. It has been reported that Pokhriyal would be missing the meeting when he must sit at the table being the Education Minister. 

According to reports, the minister was admitted to AIIMS following Covid related complications and he is admitted under Dr Neeraj Nischal, an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at AIIMS.

Apart from that, no other details were shared about his hospitalization. Pokhriyal had contracted the viral infection in April and he resumed his duties after recovering from COVID-19. After learning about his current hospitalization, several BJP leaders have expressed their wishes to him for a speedy recovery.
