US Elections: Despite the neck-to-neck battle, Trump stirs furor with his claim!

Despite knowing that millions of votes are still to be counted, US President Donald Trump has falsely claimed that he had won the Presidential elections against his rival Democrat Joe Biden hours after the latter expressed his confidence that he will win the elections and asked his supporters to keep the faith.

Trump has been mulling to launch a judicial strike against the Democrat by claiming that his rival has been delaying the vote counting. The President was addressing his supporters in the White House amid the neck-to-neck battle with Joe Biden and during his address, Trump placed a claim that he has won the election.

"Frankly, we did win this election", Trump said adding that he had won several battleground states, where votes are still being counted. The battleground states including Pennsylvania, Florida, Michigan, and Wisconsin have been keeping the race tight with heart beating moments.

Trump stated, "This is a fraud on the American Public". He went on to say that he will approach the Supreme Court of the United States to halt and stop further voting. The incumbent had claimed with the disproof that Biden has been delaying the vote-counting in the swing states. Trump further said that he had won and Biden can't defeat him. Even as the entire world is watching the US elections and the race to the White House closely, his claim had stirred furor controversies.

According to Reuters, millions of votes are still to be counted this year than in the past as people voted early by mail in person in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The incumbent has won the battleground states like Florida, Ohio, and Texas while Biden has bagged Arizona and the western belts. However, the crucial rush belt states including Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin are at high stake and become the gamechanger in hitting the magical number of 270.

Hours ahead of Trump's claim of victory, Democrat Joe Biden had addressed his supporters in Delaware and expressed his confidence that he's on track to win this election and asked them to keep the faith. He said, "We knew this was going to be long. Keep the faith guys. We are going to win this. We believe we are on track to win this election". Biden had sounded hopeful to take the reign as he had won key states in the eastern and western coasts of the country.

Donald Trump has repeatedly been iterating that an increase in mail-in voting will lead to an increase in fraud despite the election experts asserting that fraud in mail-in voting is rare and mail-in ballots are a long-standing feature of American elections. According to the Associated Press, Biden has been leading in the race of chasing the magical number of 270. Biden has got 238 electoral votes while Trump has got 213 electoral votes. However, Reuters said that Trump races ahead of Biden after the incumbent won Florida and Texas.

According to Reuters, Trump has got 213 while Biden trails with 210 electoral votes. CNN had projected 215 electoral college votes to Biden and 136 to Trump while the New York Times reported that Biden has got 213 electoral votes and Trump has got 174. The incumbent has been leading in the key battleground states like North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan while Biden bagged Arizona, the key state for the Democratic party from the west as it had turned blue after 24 years.
