Varisu and Thunivu Trailer Buzz: It's back to back New Year treats for the idols!

There is a palpable buzz on social media about the upcoming clash between Vijay and Ajith in the films Varisu and Thunivu, both of which are scheduled for the release on 12th January 2023. It's pertinent to note that in 2014, both films, Jilla and Veeram, had squabbled with one another on silver screens. Now the market anticipation for both films is through the roof, as evidenced by their phenomenal pre-release sales.

Filmbuffs and insiders are strongly speculating that the Vijay starrer's Varisu will debut its trailer on 1st January 2023, at 6PM, where Ajith starrer Thunivu trailer will be out as a year ender on 31st December 2022. Speaking about the buzz, both Varisu and Thunivu are hot in the market. It is expected that both films will get equal screens, at least in Tamil Nadu, upon their release in Pongal 2023.

Vamshi Paidipally has directed Varisu, which is the first Tamil-Telugu bilingual of Thalapathy Vijay's career, and it is touted to be a total family entertainer. The actor is playing the role of a young entrepreneur who eventually becomes the only heir of a business empire in the film, where he have to face off with some serious enemies. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Srikanth, Jayasudha, Khushbu, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha Karthick, Prakash Raj, S.J. Suryah and Yogi Babu.

Thunivu directed by H Vinoth, who previously collaborated with Ajith Kumar on Valimai and Nerkonda Paarvai and is known for movies like Sathuranga Vettai and Theran Adhigaram Ondru. Thunivu is expected to feature Ajith Kumar in an out-and-out action avatar. The movie, which is touted to be a multi-genre film, is said to be the high octane action thriller based on Money.
