'Varisu' Vijay's peppy Ranjithame steals over 26 million hearts...Makers share the new record!

Vijay won the love of many with his latest song 'Ranjithame' from his upcoming movie 'Varisu'. This song, which was sung by Vijay and MM Manasi and lyrics by Vivek, became a hit with the peppy music. The film team released the poster and announced that the song has crossed 26 million + views and has retained the number one spot on YouTube until now. 

Ranjithame, composed by S Thaman, was released on November 5- Saturday. Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead role in Varisu, which is directed by Vamsi Paidipally of Thozha fame. Within an hour of its release, the nearly five-minute-long lyrical song, which has a floral blossom theme throughout, had amassed one million views. 

The audio rights to Varisu were purchased by T-Series. On Wednesday, Varisu's production house Sri Venkateswara Creations shared the song's astounding official figures on Twitter and wrote, "Ranjithame is '#1 trending' on Youtube with 26M+ views." The song has received humongous reception across and beyond the borders and it has bagged this massive views in two days. 

By the time of writing this content, the Ranjithame song has crossed the 27-million mark as it continues counting views on Youtube. Besides Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna, the other notable actors who play important roles in Varisu include Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Yogi Babu, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Shaam, Srikanth, and Samyuktha Shanmughanathan.

Varisu is produced by Dil Raju and it is the first time Vijay has collaborated with Telugu makers. While Karthik Palani has handled the cinematography, Praveen KL has taken care of the editing. Varisu, which will premiere for Pongal next year, will square off against Ajith's Thunivu, which is directed by H. Vinoth.
