Vijay's 'Master' blaster: Thalapathy dominates the box office! Check how much the movie earned in TN

Thalapathy Vijay's Pongal treat 'Master' continues to be dominating the box office as the sea of fans has been pouring the rains of money into the movie. Master has been the much-anticipated movie of Vijay and it was released across and beyond the state on January 13 during the Pongal holidays and the movie had got a great reception from the fans and critics and the fans are thronging to the theaters to relish watching their favorite actor on the big screen amid COVID-19 regulations. 

The movie was given a grand welcome by the fans across the nation as they celebrate the release as Master Pongal and thousands of fans had queued up before the theaters to watch the movie on the first day and many camped in theaters to watch the first show. As the sequel of overwhelming reception and critics, Master has been shining both as a commercial entertainer and as a perfect Pongal treat to Vijay fans and to the theaters. 

The movie's production house XB Film Creators had revealed how much Master has earned on its first day across Tamil Nadu. Taking to Twitter, XB Film Creators said Master has earned 25 crores in less than 24 hours. It wrote, "No matter what they say! MASTER THE BLASTER 25 crores + in less than 24 hours at the box office in Tamil Nadu". According to reports, Master has become the first big Tamil movie to get released in the theaters after the resumption from the COVID-19 distressed lockdown. 

With earning 25 crores on the first day of the release, Master has become the significant movie in reviving the Kollywood industry and one of the most celebrated Vijay movies of all time. Master was released on the big screens after a wait of over ten months and it hit the theaters after facing troubles and challenges.

Ahead of the movie release, the movie team was troubled after knowing that some of the clips were leaked online and it faced trouble even after the release as the full movie was pirated and was released by the piracy sites with HD prints. 

Amid such challenges, Master has been relishing its dominance in the box office, and it's now 25 crores and counting.  According to reports, the total budget of 'Master' was estimated at around Rs 135 crore and on the second day, the movie made over Rs 40 crore in Tamil Nadu, and the collection is remarkable when the theaters are permitted with 50% seating capacity. Master is bankrolled by Xavier Britto under the banner of XB Film Creators while Lokesh Kanagaraj has directed the movie, which marks the first collaboration for 'Kaithi' director to work with Vijay. While Vijay is playing the role of the college professor, Vijay Sethupathi plays the antagonist, and Malavika Mohanan in the female lead. Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, and Gauri Kishan are playing important roles. 

Along with fans, many celebrities are also relishing the movie and leaving feedback of commending Vijay's hard work. Actor Raghava Lawrence took to Twitter, actor Raghava Lawrence said, "Nanba, I saw master. You have put in so much hard work and your look is too good. Totally the whole movie is double mass. Congratulations to the entire crew @actorvijay". 

Mersal actress Varsha Bollamma said, "Master Pongal indeed! @actorvijay @VijaySethuOffl @Gourayy @Jagadishbliss congratulations. A big congratulations to the entire team!". Along with dominating the box office in Tamil Nadu, Master is all set to become the top Tamil grosser in Australia as the movie has earned Rs 2.15 crore in the first two days.
