Viral: Makers of Chandramukhi 2 drop the first look of Kangana Ranaut as Chandramukhi!

The horror-comedy genre is set to get a new twist with the upcoming Tamil movie Chandramukhi 2, starring Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence in the lead roles. The makers of the film have recently unveiled the first look poster of Kangana Ranaut, who plays the titular role of Chandramukhi, a woman suffering from dissociative identity disorder.

Lyca Productions took to Twitter and unveiled the poster, writing, "The beauty  & the pose  that effortlessly steals our attention!  Presenting the enviable, commanding & gorgeous 1st look of #KanganaRanaut as Chandramukhi from #Chandramukhi2  Releasing this GANESH CHATURTHI in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam & Kannada! "

The poster shows Kangana in a stunning avatar, wearing a traditional saree and jewellery, with a mysterious smile on her face. The poster has created a buzz among the fans, who are eagerly waiting to see Kangana’s performance in this challenging role.

Chandramukhi 2 is a standalone sequel to the 2005 blockbuster Chandramukhi, which starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika in the lead roles. The film was directed by P. Vasu, who is also helming the sequel. The film is produced by Lyca Productions, and Sun Pictures.

The film also features Vadivelu, Srushti Dange, Lakshmi Menon, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Mahima Nambiar and Sathyaraj in supporting roles. The music of the film is composed by M. M. Keeravani, who is making his comeback to Tamil cinema after 22 years.

The film is scheduled to release on September 19, 2023, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi. The film will clash with Mark Antony at the box office, which stars Vishal and SJ Suryah in the lead roles. The fans are eagerly waiting to see which film will emerge as the winner in this festive season.

Chandramukhi 2 is one of the most anticipated films of the year, as it marks Kangana Ranaut’s third debut in Tamil cinema after Dhaam Dhoom, Thalaivi.  Kangana is known for her versatile and powerful performances in Bollywood films such as Queen, Tanu Weds Manu, Manikarnika and Thalaivi.

She has also won four National Film Awards for her acting skills. Raghava Lawrence is also a popular actor and director in Tamil cinema, who is known for his horror-comedy films such as Muni film series. He has also won several awards for his social service activities. 

The film is expected to be a visual treat for the audience, with stunning cinematography by R. D. Rajasekhar, impressive art direction by Thota Tharani and crisp editing by Anthony. The film also boasts of some catchy songs and background score by M. M. Keeravani, who has given some memorable music for films such as Baahubali, Magadheera and Eega. The film also has some hilarious comedy scenes by Vadivelu, who is making his comeback after a long hiatus.
