Viral: Mari Selvaraj - Udhayanidhi Stalin's Mamannan Audio Launch event is making waves for these special perks!

The Oscar-winning music maestro A.R. Rahman enthralling the fans with a live concert at Nehru Stadium in Chennai today on June 1. The event will mark the trailer and audio launch of the upcoming political thriller Maamannan, directed by Mari Selvaraj and starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Keerthy Suresh, Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, AR Rahman shared, "MAAMANNAN Audio Track list for today’s from 6 PM onwards". The audio launch will be garnered by Kamal Hassan as the chief guest as a perk to the enticing event. The makers also released a special making video of the event only to anticipate more for the prestigious performance from the Isai Puyal.

Maamannan, which means Emperor in Tamil, is one of the most anticipated films of 2023. The film is Selvaraj’s third directorial venture after the critically acclaimed Pariyerum Perumal and Karnan. The film also marks the first collaboration of Rahman with Selvaraj and Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is also the producer of the film under his banner Red Giant Movies.

The film has already created a huge buzz with its first look posters and two songs that have been released so far. The first song, Raasa Kannu, is a haunting melody sung by veteran comedian Vadivelu, who plays the titular role of Maamannan in the film. The song has garnered over 6.3 million views on YouTube and has been praised for its lyrics by Yugabharathi and Rahman’s soulful composition.

The second song, Jigu Jigu Rail, is a peppy reggae number sung by Rahman himself. The song has clocked 3.5 million views on YouTube in four days since its release on May 27. The song features Udhayanidhi Stalin as Raasa Kannu, a young politician who is inspired by Maamannan’s ideals. The song also introduces Fahadh Faasil as Perumal Vaikundam, the antagonist of the film.

The fans are eagerly waiting for the trailer and the rest of the songs from Maamannan, which are expected to reveal more about the plot and the characters of the film. The film is slated to release in June 2023 in theatres across Tamil Nadu. The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film have been acquired by Netflix and the satellite rights by Kalaignar TV.

The live concert by Rahman will be a treat for the music lovers and a grand celebration for the team of Maamannan. The event will be attended by the cast and crew of the film along with some special guests from the film industry.
