The lady superstar of the South celebrated her first Mother’s Day on Sunday with her husband Vignesh Shivan and their twin sons Uyir and Ulag. The couple, who got married in June 2022 and became parents via surrogacy in October 2022, shared some adorable pictures of their family on social media.
Vignesh Shivan took to his Instagram account and posted three photos of Nayanthara holding one of their newborn babies in her arms at the hospital. He wrote, “Happy First Mother’s Day to the Best mother in the world” along with a globe emoji. He also shared two silhouette images of Nayanthara cuddling both her sons and penned a heartfelt note for her.
He called her “a 10 on 10 as a Mother” and thanked God for blessing them with the best babies, writing, "Dear Nayan … you are a 10 on 10 as a Mother too immense love and power to you my thangamey ! Your first Mother’s Day A Dream come true for us Thanking God and all the goodness in this world for blessing us with the best blessed babies".
Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan have been in a relationship since they worked together on the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in 2015. They announced their engagement in 2021 and got married in a grand ceremony at Sheraton Grand in Mahabalipuram. They surprised everyone by revealing that they had twin boys via surrogacy four months later.
Meanwhile, the prowess actress has many exciting projects lined up for release in different languages. She will make her Bollywood debut with Jawan, an action thriller directed by Atlee and starring Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role, and Vijay Sethupathi as the villain. She will also reunite with her husband Vignesh Shivan for an untitled project with Pradeep Ranganathan, as per insiders' reports.
