Viral Picture: Makers of Superstar's Lal Salaam share a special update on the film!

Superstar Rajinikanth has finished shooting for his special appearance as Moideen Bhai in his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth's upcoming film Lal Salaam. The film, which marks Aishwarya's comeback as a director after seven years, features Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles.

The music for the film is composed by the Oscar-winning maestro AR Rahman. Rajinikanth's first look as Moideen Bhai was revealed in May this year by Lyca Productions, the banner that is producing the film. The poster showed him in a white kurta and a red topi, sporting a pair of sunglasses. The character is said to be inspired by a real-life Mumbai-based social worker who helps the poor and needy.

Aishwarya Rajinikanth shared a heartfelt post on Instagram on Wednesday, announcing the wrap for her father's cameo. She posted a picture of herself hugging Rajinikanth, who was dressed in his Moideen Bhai avatar, along with the crew of the film. She wrote, "Making a movie with you is a miracle and you are pure magic appa ... #lalsalaam Moideen Bhai #anditsawrap for The Superstar."

She also shared some more pictures from the sets of Lal Salaam, showing her father's bond with the other actors and technicians. Vishnu Vishal, who plays one of the protagonists in the film, also expressed his gratitude to Rajinikanth for his words of appreciation and encouragement.

He penned a very long note of his gratitude for working with the versatile star, and wrote,  "A big big thanks to THALAIVAR for every single moment that i witnessed while shooting and some wise words and appreciation coming str8 from THE SUPERSTAR about me n my films...which are now my most prized cinematic memories and possessions... ."  Lal Salaam is expected to release later this year in theatres. Rajinikanth's cameo as Moideen Bhai is expected to be one of the highlights of the film.
