Viral: Prabhas's Adipurush trailer to have a massive launch! Here's what you need to know...

The countdown has begun for the trailer of Adipurush, the epic saga of Raghav and Janaki, starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon. The makers of the film have revealed that the trailer will be out on May 9, and have also shared a new poster featuring Prabhas as Raghav.

Prabhas took to his Instagram account to share the new poster and the trailer release date with his fans. He wrote: “Jai Shri Ram Trailer releasing on 9th May 2023 #Adipurush”. The post received over 1.8 million likes and thousands of comments from his admirers. Prabhas is portrayed on the poster as a warrior carrying a bow and arrow and sporting a stern expression.

Adipurush, directed by Om Raut and produced by Bhushan Kumar, is a retelling of the Ramayana and depicts the clash between Raghav (Prabhas) and Lankesh (Saif Ali Khan). The film also stars Sunny Singh as Shesh and Devdatta Nage as Hanuman. The film is set to release on June 16 in theatres in IMAX and 3D.

Adipurush's trailer release will make history given that it will be simultaneously released in 70 countries across the globe. These countries include the United States, Canada, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Africa, the United Kingdom, Europe, Russia, and Egypt. More than a hundred theaters in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will also show the trailer and join in the fan celebration.

The trailer is noted to be showing at 5:30 p.m. on May 9. The film has also been selected for an international premiere at the Tribeca Festival in New York on June 13. Adipurush is one of the most awaited films of 2023, as it promises to be a visual extravaganza with stunning VFX and action sequences. The film has been shot in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
