Kollywood's celebrating director Vetrimaaran is all set to collaborate with Tollywood's young tiger Junior NTR, who has had a humongous year so far with the roaring success of the movie 'RRR', which was helmed by Rajamouli. The movie has etched remarkable milestones through its box office collection and for its magnificent making.

RRR has also scripted its footprints in the OTT platform by having more than 1000 million minutes of streaming time. With the success of RRR, Junior NTR has signed up for another PAN India film with director Vetrimaaran, who is known for his movies - Asuran, Vada Chennai, and Aadukalam. The majority of his films portray the defects in society, which are focused on caste segregation in a rural setting.

There have been whispers about the two working together for a long time, and it appears that Jr NTR has given his nod for the collaboration. The film is yet to be announced officially from the makers' side, which is still on shelves. Vetrimaaran is known for his movie with raw and realistic style. He is currently working on the Viduthalai movie which is in the pre-production stage, starring Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Prakash Raj.

The film is interestingly adapted from the short story 'Thunaivan' by Jayamohan. Vijay Sethupathi will be playing a Teacher, which is the first time for him to play the teacher role. Ilayaraja will be handling music. Subsequently, Vetrimaaran has 'Vaadivasal' on hand with the collaboration of Surya, which is in the pre-production stage.

The shoot of Jr. NTR with Vetrimaaran will start after the completion of his tentatively titled 'NTR 31' directed by Prashanth Neel. Meanwhile, Jr NTR is busy shooting for his NTR30, which is touted to be a commercial action entertainer. The first look of the movie has been released and Anirudh has been inducted to score the music.
