Viral story: Suriya's 'Vaadivaasal' will be around this tale...Director Vetrimaaran opens up!

Director Vetrimaaran, who is known for his realistic and hard-hitting films, has spilled beans about his upcoming project 'Vaadivaasal' starring Suriya, in the promotional event of the web series 'Pettaikaali' which he produces. Jallikattu is the main theme of Vaadivaasal and it will be based on the novel written by CS Chellappa. 

Notably, one of the factors the movie has garnered such high standards and expectations is that it marks the first collaboration between Suriya and Vetrimaaran, who is majorly known for working with Dhanush. Speaking at the event promoting his first production venture 'Pettaikaali', Vetrimaaran revealed that Vaadivaasal is based on the turbulent political scenario that existed in Tamil Nadu in the 1960s. 

Fans are already ecstatic since this update. Yet the makers are opted to keep serene about the official update. So far, the film premise is versed that the film follows Picchi and Marudan who takes part in the annual bull-taming contest at the Chellaiyi festival at Periyapatti hoping to subdue a ferocious Kaari bull that had defeated Picchi's father. 

Vaadivaasal will be bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu under his banner V Creations and the music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The project was announced years ago and fans can't wait to relish this significant collaboration on the screen. The movie team has released a test shoot this July on the occasion of Suriya's birthday. In the video, the actor was seen getting trained with the bulls. 

It has been reported that Vaadivaasal will begin production in the middle of 2023, following Suriya's completion of Suriya 42. On the work front, Vetrimaaran is currently busy with the final stages of production works in Soori and Vijay Sethupathi starrer 'Viduthalai'. Suriya has projects with 'Jai Bhim' director TJ Gnanavel, with director Siva for Suriya 42, with 'Soorarai Pottru' director Sudha Kongara and director Ravikumar.
