Fans of Superstar Rajinikanth's have been waiting for news on his upcoming film Thalaivar170, and after much speculation and anticipation, the production house banner has finally released an official announcement on social media, sending fans into a frenzy. As per the statement, the highly-anticipated film will be directed by TJ Gnanavel, and the music will be composed by the talented Anirudh Ravichander.

Taking to Twitter, the production home banner on Thursday shared a statement by writing, "We are feeling honoured to announce our next association with "Superstar" @rajinikanth for #Thalaivar170 Directed by critically acclaimed @tjgnan Music by the sensational "Rockstar" @anirudhofficial".

The statement reads, "Today on the ocassion of our beloved "Chairman" Subaskaran’s birthday, Lyca Productions is feeling acclaimed & honoured in announcing "Superstar" Rajinikanth’s "#Thalaivar170" film under our banner. This film will be directed by TJ Gnanavel, will have music by "Rockstar" Anirudh and produced by Subaskaran,"

"We are further happy to inform that the shoot of the film will commence soon under the leadership of GKM Tamil Kumaran and will be ready for release in 2024. Lyca group is extremely happy and honored in associating with "Thalaivar" Rajinikanth once again after many successful projects. And with all your blessings & wishes, we sincerely believe that this movie would attain all pinnacles bringing joy to all the fans." it added.

Rajinikanth is currently busy with the shooting of the movie 'Jailer' helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar and bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures. As the shooting is just heating up, the superstar's next 'Thalaivar 170's official announcement made the fans to breathe a sigh of relief and look forward to more updates on the film.

TJ Gnanavel, who has given a hitting social drama Jai Bhim which won millions of fans around the globe and received acclaims. Now his next venture with Superstar expected to bring his unique vision and creativity to the project. It's worth remembering that few weeks earlier, speculating reports had that the Thalaivar170 will include a Superstar in a police role, and it will be a powerful social drama. The source also states that it's a really powerful movie that manages to capture the spirit of Jai Bhim.
