The much-awaited horror comedy Chandramukhi 2 has released its first song today, and it is a treat for the fans of Kangana Ranaut. The song, titled ‘Swagathanjali’, showcases the stunning queen actress and grace of Kangana as Chandramukhi, the dancer in the king’s court. The song is composed by the Oscar-winning music director M. M. Keeravani, who returns to Tamil cinema after 22 years. The lyrics are penned by Chaitanya Prasad and the vocals are rendered by Sreenidhi Tirumala.

‘Swagathanjali’ is a catchy and upbeat number that celebrates the arrival of Chandramukhi, who is revered for her dancing skills and charisma. The song also hints at the mystery and suspense that surrounds her character, as she is possessed by a vengeful spirit.

Kangana Ranaut looks stunning in a golden clad, adorned with heavy jewellery and accessories. She exudes confidence and charm as she performs intricate dance moves with ease and grace.

Chandramukhi 2 is the sequel to the blockbuster hit Chandramukhi (2005), which starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika in the lead roles. The film is written and directed by P. Vasu, who also helmed the first part. Raghava Lawrence plays the male lead opposite Kangana Ranaut, reprising the role of Vettaiyan Raja, a psychiatrist who investigates the paranormal activities in the palace.

The film also stars Vadivelu, Srushti Dange, Lakshmi Menon, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Mahima Nambiar, Rao Ramesh, Vignesh Ravi, Mariya Suresh, Suresh Menon, T. M. Karthik, Subiksha Krishnan and others in supporting roles.

Chandramukhi 2 is produced by Lyca Productions and Subaskaran Allirajah. The film is slated to release on September 19, 2023, coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi. The film will release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. The film has generated a lot of buzz among the fans and critics alike, as it marks Kangana Ranaut’s second debut in Tamil cinema  after Dhaam Dhoom, and her first collaboration with Raghava Lawrence and P. Vasu. The film also marks the comeback of Vadivelu after a long hiatus from acting.

The first look posters of Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence were unveiled earlier this year and received positive response from the audience. The teaser of the film is expected to be released soon, followed by the trailer and other songs from the album. Chandramukhi 2 promises to be a thrilling and entertaining ride for the viewers who love horror comedy genre.
