Viral Update: Superstar Rajinikanth's Thalaivar 170 have this Bollywood icon!

The fans are in for a treat as the makers of his upcoming film, tentatively titled Thalaivar 170, have been sharing the full cast and crew since Monday. Now the makers have announced a big surprise. The legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has joined the cast of the film, which is being produced by Lyca Productions.

The team shared a poster featuring Rajini and Amitabh, along with the caption, “Welcoming the Shahenshah of Indian cinema  Mr. Amitabh Bachchan on board for #Thalaivar170 #Thalaivar170Team reaches new heights with the towering talent of the one & only  @SrBachchan”.

This is not the first time that Rajini and Amitabh have shared screen space. The two superstars have worked together in the 1991 film Hum, which was a blockbuster hit. The film was directed by Mukul S. Anand and also starred Govinda, Kimi Katkar, Deepa Sahi, Shilpa Shirodkar, Danny Denzongpa and Anupam Kher. 

Now, after 32 years, Rajini and Amitabh are set to reunite on the big screen, which has created a huge buzz among the fans. The leading lady of the film is the Mollywood superstar Manju Warrier, who will be making her third Tamil debut with this film. Manju will be playing the wife of Rajinikanth’s character.

The film also has Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan, in important roles.  The latest addition to the cast is Rana Daggubati, and Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil, who will be playing the main antagonist in the film. The music of the film is composed by the young sensation Anirudh Ravichander, who has already delivered some chartbusters with Rajinikanth.
