AR Rahman, the musical magician who has been mingling more on social media these days, unleashed his playful persona by recreating a viral meme on his smashing song Raawadi from Simbu’s upcoming film Pathu Thala.

The original meme video, which was created by popular video content creators Vikram Arul Vidyapathi and Hari Muniyappan, gave a hilarious twist to the recording session of Raawadi, where singer Shuba struggles to pronounce the word ‘Raawadi’ correctly.

Shuba, who crooned the catchy dance track composed by Rahman and penned by Snehan, decided to recreate the meme video with the OGs - Rahman and Snehan themselves. They posted the video on her Instagram handle and it is spreading like wildfire among the fans.

In the video, Rahman is seen playing along with Shuba and Snehan, who enact the roles of Vikram and Hari respectively. Rahman even mimics Vikram’s expressions and gestures as he reacts to Shuba’s pronunciation.  Shuba captioned the video as “Had to recreate this masterpiece with the OGs Yes- yes I did get @arrahman to act LOL make sure to stream our song Raawadi!!Original video by @vikkals_vikram @hariimuniyappan.”

The original meme creators were humbled by Shuba’s gesture and expressed their gratitude in the post's comments section. Fans also hailed Rahman’s fun-side and praised his sense of humour.

Raawadi is one of the songs from Pathu Thala, which is a remake of the 2017 Kannada film Mufti. The film stars Silambarasan, Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Gautham Vasudev Menon in the lead roles. The film is directed by Obeli N. Krishna and produced by Studio Green and Pen Studios. The film is slated to release on 30 March 2023.

Rahman is also busy with his next Hindi project, Tere Ishq Mein, which marks his reunion with Aanand L. Rai and Dhanush after Raanjhanaa. The film is written by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav and seems to belong to the ‘world of Raanjhanaa’. The film was announced on the 10th release anniversary of Raanjhanaa with a teaser video featuring Dhanush as Shankar, who makes a reference to his previous character Kundan.
