Virat Kohli is now one of richest cricketers with Rs 1000 crore net worth: From where and how much he earns?

Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli has officially entered the prestigious club that has richest celebrities. 34-year-old batter has risen as an uber-cricketer by demonstrating stupendous batting across all the formats of the game. From leading the Indian team to being labelled as a run-machine, Virat Kohli has already been building his legacy and now, he has added yet another feather to his cap by becoming one of the richest cricketers. 

It has become official that Virat Kohli currently has a net worth of over Rs 1000 crore. According to Stock Gro, Kohli's net worth stands at Rs 1,050 crore. The break up of his assets includes earnings from the Indian cricket contracts, brand endorsements, ownership of brands and social media posts. Kohli is one of the cricketers who charge crores of rupees for advertising a brand on social media. 

On the front of how much he earns from these major routes, Kohli is said to earn Rs 7 crore annually from his Team India contract and he receives Rs 15 lakh for each Test match, Rs 6 lakh for each ODI, and Rs 3 lakh for each T20 match. It has been reported that he earns Rs 15 crore annunally from the T20 league.

On the other hand, Kohli is also making money from his start-ups including Blue Tribe, Universal Sportsbiz, MPL, Sports Convo, and Digit. Some of his brand endorsements include Vivo, Myntra, Blue Star, Luxor, HSBC, Uber, Volini, MRF, Tissot, and Cinthol. The reports say that the cricketer is charging a fee ranging from Rs 7.50 to 10 crore per advertisement shoot. 

Kohli's makes a whopping Rs 175 crore from his brand endorsements. Furthermore, Kohli has a strong influence and following on social media that is also filling his coffers. Kohli has 253 million followers on Instagram while over 56 million people follow him on Twitter and Kohli is an epitome of how the celebrities are making money through social media. 

Currently, Kohli charges Rs 8.9 crore per post of brand on Instagram while he charges Rs 2.5 crore for the same on Twitter. He also owns brands like One8, a restaurant and athleisure, and Wrogn for luxury wear. He also owns a football club, a tennis team, and a pro-wrestling team. Kohli has two houses, one in Mumbai worth Rs 34 crore and another in Gurugram, worth Rs 80 crore. He also has a pile of luxury cars worth Rs 31 crore.
