VK Sasikala's 'audio' politics vs ADMK...EPS and OPS issue a fresh order to the party cadres!

Amid VK Sasikala's 'audio' politics in her bid to make a political comeback, ADMK leaders Edappadi Palaniswami (EPS) and O Panneerselvam (OPS) had issued a fresh warning to the party cadres to win their loyalty for them and to showcase that Sasikala won't be welcomed back to the party. The warning from both the leaders has come when another audio of a purported conversation between VK Sasikala with a party cadre has been released.

As Sasikala has been rolling out an audio outreach to the party cadres for the past few weeks, her drive of political comeback has been stirring tensions in the party with the cadres speaking with her had apparently displayed that they are dissenting with the current leaders and supporting Sasikala. ADMK has already in furore and her audio politics had sparked fresh tensions and demand for a single leadership.

With incessant audio clips from Sasikala, ADMK leaders EPS and OPS had issued a new order in which they had asked the party cadres to show their loyalty to the leadership duo in their attempt to keep the party united and under their control. According to reports, the leaders had issued a set of instructions to the cadres and office bearers to display that Sasikala won't be welcomed into the party.

The order from the leaders has come when the district secretaries are passing resolutions backing the leadership of EPS and OPS and strongly castigating Sasikala's drive for a political resurgence. These resolutions were passed with the directive of both the leaders and the secretaries have also noted that Sasikala has been causing confusion among the party cadres.

Several districts have adopted such resolutions with the support of the party cadres and these resolutions have sent to the party headquarters seeking action against the members who endorse Sasikala by violating their loyalty to the current leadership. The party's high command had also issued an order to the senior leaders that all meetings in districts should unanimously back and support the dual leadership of EPS and OPS, to show that no one in the party is supporting Sasikala.

According to reports, EPS and OPS had given new tasks to former ministers and leaders including D Jayakumar, KC Veeramani, CV Shanmugam, KP Munusamy, and Natham Viswanathan to issue scathing statements to the media against Sasikala that she won't be accepted in the party and she will never get a chance of taking over the party's leadership. The leadership had also asked the party cadres to speak with the members on how Sasikala's family would pose a threat to the party and how former supremo Jayalalithaa stood against Sasikala's family.

The political observers say that through the new order, EPS and OPS  have materialized their politics against Sasikala, to brace up, and counter Sasikala's attempt to take over the party. With the view of displaying solidarity, both the leaders have taken a break from their power fight and have come in the same line to barricade Sasikala's political resurgence. They are also dimming the demand for a single leadership in the party.

It must be noted that EPS and OPS have fired 16 leaders including a former minister and a former MP from the party for speaking with Sasikala and supporting her in her political comeback. The mass firing had shocked the party cadres and had become a sign of a warning for the functionaries that they will be removed from the party if they endorse Sasikala. However, Sasikala is not turning back and the sources say she may begin meeting the cadres from July to strengthen her political comeback. These developments have shown that the ADMK is struggling to find a face and successor for Jayalalithaa and even after four years of her demise, the party is carrying a banner of 'Leader Wanted'.
