Finally, the day has come for the idols and the anticipation was well-founded, as the trailer turned out to be enormous. The long-awaited Thunivu trailer, featuring Ajith Kumar, has finally been released. And as was to be expected, it lives up to the enormous expectations that were held by fans, critics, and moviebuffs. H. Vinoth, the film's director, has crafted a high-octane thriller out of it by introducing the iconic bank heist plot device.

The film is produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios and is slated for a release theatrically for Pongal 2023. The overseas theatrical rights to the H Vinoth–directed film that will debut for Pongal have been purchased by Lyca Productions, where the film banked by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects. The production house ended the year by debuting the trailer on Saturday on Twitter and wrote, "Gangs, guns, mind games, and money #ThunivuTrailer OUT NOW"

The trailer was almost two minutes, which expands on so much of action-packed scenes, featuring intense face off between the actor, Samuthrikani as a cop, and a powerful villain John Kokken, when Ajith took control of 'Your Bank' in daylight. The trailer further featured Manju Warrier, Premkumar, Bucks, GM Sundar in crucial roles. By the time of writing this content, the trailer already crossed 1.8 million views.

In the trailer, Ajith promising a negative shade, but slightly makes us to believe the fact, when one of the shot he sports a police uniform. Began with a power punch dialogue from the ultimate star, when Prem asks, "Aren't you ashamed to steal people's money?", and his short but power reply "No" grips in the start.

The background score from Ghibran has the desired impact, elevating the stakes of the sequences in the trailer, and the size and stunt work are both well-executed. Manju Warrier, it seems, also has a substantial part in this movie. The film will debut in theatres on January 12, and by the trailer response, proving the point that it will have a smashing debut in Tamil Nadu during the Pongal holiday.

Nerkonda Paarvai, a remake of the Hindi film Pink, marked director H. Vinoth's first collaboration with Ajith Kumar. His previous works include Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru and Sathuranga Vettai. Fans of both 'Thunivu' and 'Varisu,'  are looking forward to a box office showdown on the same day. The film is also getting its premiere in Telugu, where it's titled Thegimpu.
