Watch: Escaping Taliban...Panicked Afghans throng to Kabul Airport and the mayhem has killed five people!

As the Taliban has entered Kabul and regained control of Afghanistan, the civilians who were panicked over the resurgence of the extremist group had begun thronging towards Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul to somehow flee the country as they don't their future to be their past. The scenes from the airport had revealed how incredibly chaotic the citizens were after the Taliban had taken over the reign after 20 years.

The chaos was visible in every moment when the group advanced to capture the country, as the sequel of the withdrawal of the US and NATO troops. In an unprecedented fashion, hundreds of thousands of people had vacated their homes, packed their belongings, and gathered at the airport with the panicked and vague motive of fleeing the country without having a clear destination.

It was feared that the Taliban's resurgence would trigger large-scale displacements as thousands of Afghan citizens are on the verge of becoming refugees after leaving their homeland. As more and more people had assembled at the airport, the stampede had disrupted the operations of the airport and the heart backing visuals from the airport had shown the citizens are climbing into the jet bridge from the ground to catch the aircraft as the chaos was unprecedented in the world.

As the sequel to the disruptions, the flight operations from Kabul airport were suspended on Monday, leaving the citizens to get stranded at the airport and to stand in the middle of the plight that they can't leave the country nor step onto it after the government has fallen and people's elected president Ghani has fled the country by leaving them in peril. Amid such eerie developments, at least five people were killed in the airport as hundreds of people had attempted to board the plane to leave the country to escape the Taliban.  According to Reuters, some witnesses had shared that five people have died at the airport.

One witness said that he had seen the bodies of five people being taken to a vehicle while another witness said it was not clear whether the victims were killed by gunshots or in a stampede. On Monday morning, the US forces, who were in the country to evacuate the American citizens and embassy staff, had taken charge of the airport and a US official has said that the US troops had earlier fired in the air to scatter the crowd. However, the officials haven't commented about the identifies and the official cause of the deaths. Some of the reports had said that a person had fallen from a military plane on the air after he was hanging on landing gear, which shockingly displayed a rise of humanitarian crisis and the fear of Afghans to live in the Taliban's regime.

On Sunday, the US Department of State has released a joint statement in which more than five dozen countries had urged all parties to safeguard the departure of foreign nationals and Afghans who wish to leave the country. The statement said, "Afghans and international citizens who wish to depart must be allowed to do so; roads, airports, and border crossing must remain open, and calm must be maintained." "Those in positions of power and authority across Afghanistan bear responsibility and accountability for the protection of human life and property, and for the immediate restoration of security and civil order", the statement added.

According to a statement issued by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs on Sunday, there has been an influx of large groups of people seeking safety from conflict and other threads since July 1. The global body has said that they have identified 17,500 newly internally displaced people in the past month in Afghanistan. It has said that assistance was given to 13,500 of these people in providing food, cash, health, household items, water, and sanitation support. The UN body has said that more than 5,50,000 people have been displaced by conflict in Afghanistan to date (as of Sunday) this year and the number of those displaced due to conflict has more than doubled since the end of May.
