Watch: Mohammed Siraj's emotional moment! Here's why he broke out with tears

Young cricketer Mohammed Siraj's sacrifice and dedication to play for India has been winning hearts from across and beyond the borders and his emotional moment ahead of the third test against Australia has been spreading widely across social media with many fans and veteran cricketers consoling and patting him, which had become an inspirational display for the young generation. 

Mohammed Siraj has made his Test debut at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and with the impressive performance, he was inducted into the playing squad of the third test match against Australia that began on Thursday at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Ahead of the commencement of the match, Siraj was lined-up along with the Indian team for National Anthem and when India's anthem was being played, Mohammed Siraj went emotional and shedded tears. 

The video of his emotional moment was widely shared with the fans too had gone emotional. While speaking after the end of the day's play on Thursday, Siraj said he was thinking about his late father. He said, "Just remembered my father at that time. I was really emotional. He wanted me to see playing Test cricket. Wish he could see me playing for India". 

According to reports, Siraj's father had died in November when the bowler was on the Australian tour. However, Siraj stayed back in Australia to fulfill his father's dream of playing for India. Siraj made his Test debut in the second test match and the 26-year-old cricketer proved that he is worth pick after delivering splendid performances in the Boxing Day Test. 

Siraj couldn't hold his tears and after the National Anthem, he was seen wiping off his tears with his hands. Despite facing a big personal loss, Siraj's flawless performance at the Test match and his dedication were commended by the veteran cricketers. He was seen trying hard to control him but eventually, he broke out of tears. In the third match, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first and India began its innings with the strong bowling line-up of Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah. 

In his debut match, Siraj took five wickets and played a crucial role in India's victory against the host. Siraj was added in the third match in the absence of Umesh Yadav and Siraj had given a significant breakthrough to India on the first day after dismissing Australia's David Warner. Through Siraj's attack, Warner has got dismissed under 10 runs for the first time in the last 25 home Test innings and four years. 

On day one of the third Test, Australia had put 166 runs on board by losing two wickets with Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne were standing on the crease. Following the first day, Siraj said, "Test cricket is all about patience and we must keep that in mind".
