Watch: 'Putham Pudhu Kaalai' trailer is out! Five top directors of Kollywood have come together!

Anthology has been a little touched subject in Kollywood as the industry has largely been exposed to its typical style of movie-making where the story would be revolving around a particular piece of track and genre from the start to the end whereas anthology is far from the normal through publishing one or more subjects of stories in a single movie and the perfect example for the anthology movie in Tamil is 'Sillu Karuppati', which has different stories under the genre of love, and it has received an overwhelming reception in the Tamil movie industry, which prepared the audience to get exposed to such subjects.

Though the anthology would have several directors and culminate into a beautiful piece of movie-making, Sillu Karuppati was directed by only one director - Halitha Shameem, and she had attained fame through the movie of speaking love across all walks of lives. What if all your favorite directors come together and reach your hands in a single movie with their own stories? It has now become possible and some of the top directors of the Kollywood are soon going to reach your home.

Lockdown had seemingly made it possible and the new anthology of five Tamil short films directed by five top directors would be released on October 16 on Amazon Prime Video. Titled as 'Putham Pudhu Kaalai', the five short films have been directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, Sudha Kongara, Karthik Subbaraj, and Suhasini Mani Ratnam.
