Watch: Rahul Gandhi's calm reaction when earthquake disturbed his session...Video goes viral!

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's reaction after encountering an earthquake amid the Zoom session has been going viral. When the residents of Delhi and some of the Northern parts of India had faced the tremors of the earthquake on the night hours of Friday, which was recorded at a magnitude of 6.3, they rushed out of their residences and gathered at a safe place.

The magnitude of the earthquake is one of the highest in India measured at the Richter scale. While the seismology department had spelled Amristar as the epicenter of the earthquake initially, it later sent a revised statement and confirmed that the quake had its epicenter in Tajikistan.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the magnitude of the quake was 6.3. The sudden tremors had pushed hundreds of thousands of people to hop out of the residences.

Though some parts of north India had braced up for the high magnitude of the earthquake, there has been no loss of life or large-scale damages to the properties. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had also felt the tremors and his calm reaction has been going viral. Rahul Gandhi was virtually interacting with the students of the University of Chicago on a Zoom session when he felt the tremors of the quake.

Rahul Gandhi was interacting with reputed inventor and entrepreneur Sam Pitroda, historian Dipesh Chakrabarty, and the political science students from the University of Chicago, and when he felt the earthquake, he was heard saying, "By the way, I think there's an earthquake going on. My room's shaking" and he continues the session by leaving a smile. The video of his calm reaction has been getting widely shared on social media.

One of the Twitter users said, "I love how Rahul Gandhi went like, "By the way, I think there's an earthquake, my room is shaking" in the middle of his interaction with students of University of Chicago and then just continued with his answer".  According to reports, the tremors were strongly felt in the areas of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter and said, "Earthquake tremors felt in Delhi. Praying for everyone's safety". The Delhi Fire Department has said that it hasn't received any calls for help. Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra had also tweeted about the tremors and prayed for everyone. National Conference leader Omar Abdullah underlined that the tremors reminded the people of the 2005 earthquake in Jammu and Kashmir.

Taking to Twitter, Abdullah said, "Not since the earthquake of 2005 have the tremors in Srinagar been bad enough to force me out of the house. I grabbed a blanket & ran. I didn’t remember to take my phone & so was unable to tweet “earthquake” while the damn ground was shaking." "Reports of the epicenter being around Amritsar. Hope no major damage or any loss of life.", Abdullah added.
