Watch: Rahul Gandhi's lookalike joins Bharat Jodo Yatra and draws sharp attention!

Dressing a similar hairstyle and donning a white T-shirt, Congress cadre Faisal Chowdhury has drawn sharp attention from across the country for being a lookalike of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Chowdhury's video of taking part in Bharat Jodo Yatra shed spotlight on him.

Chowdhury is a Congress worker from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh and he joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra on Wednesday in the Baghpat district in western Uttar Pradesh. Walking in a white T-shirt just like Rahul Gandhi, Chowdhury's visual walking with the Congress cadres has been going viral. As the yatra is on its last leg to reach its destination, Chowdhury's appearance became a major headlines of the yatra.

Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra entered its Uttar Pradesh leg on Tuesday afternoon after starting from the Marghat Hanuman Temple in Delhi. The yatra will cover parts of Uttar Pradesh in three days and it will be entering Haryana on January 6. When Rahul Gandhi's road march entered Uttar Pradesh, opposition leaders such as National Conference's Chief Farooq Abdullah and Shiv Sena (Uddhav) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi joined the yatra on Tuesday.

Rahul Gandhi's sister Priyanka Gandhi has been accompanying the former during the yatra's Uttar Pradesh leg. On Tuesday, Priyanka Gandhi said, "My elder brother, I am most proud of you. Forceful power was exerted. The government spent thousands of crores to tarnish his image, and agencies were put behind him, but he didn't stop." She said that she is proud of every Indian who joined the yatra.

Rahul Gandhi began the Bharat Jodo Yatra on September 7, 2022, from Tamil Nadu with the motive to fight against communalism, unemployment, hatred, inflation, and political centralisation. The yatra was scheduled to cover 3,570 kilometer in 150 days, by covering 12 states and two Union territories. From Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, Rahul Gandhi crossed Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Delhi. Rahul Gandhi has planned to reach the yatra's destination Jammu and Kashmir on January 30.
